Brake pads Raybestos or Hawk Performance

I recently replaced my factory Kia front pads with some EHT's. Did not replace rotors, just cleaned and removed some rust on them. Applied some caliper grease to the proper areas and these pads so far have been really nice. A VERY noticeable difference vs. the factory pads in stopping power. My only complaint was that Raybestos did not include new pad retainer springs in the box.

I run non-oem pads on my t6 but that’s because I like more initial bite when I step on the brakes. I use Hawk street performance pads. They definitely make more dust and sometimes more noise than OE pads.

Guy above says don’t go cheap….I just used some raybestos pads and rotors for the rear I got from rock auto for 100$. Cheap, fast and easy. First time doing brakes and despite some snags had it done in an hour.

Fitted my 2017 with new front/rear brakes and rotors yesterday. I went with the daily driver level Raybestos brand kit from Rockauto. Included both pads and rotors with hardware. Did the work myself. While I obviously can't say anything about longevity yet, performance seems good so far. Especially for the price when compared to over double for Duralast from my local AutoZone.

I thought I had a bleed/bore issue because my hydro wouldn't lock up under full force, turns out the stock style break pads were not sufficient to lock it up (even though stock pads work to lock rear wheels on foot brake). I switched over to Hawk HP+ pads and that did the trick for me.

Running Hawk DTC 30s on a Mustang (3800 lbs with me) both front and rear. I brake hard and the car is heavy. The pads don't glaze nor fade. Wear is OK.

I've had great results from Raybestos ST43s and Ferodo DS2500s for dual duty.

They feel amazing and the braking power is noticeably increased but they create an incredible amount of corrosive dust and make a really terrible high pitched noise on occasion under light braking.

I have Hawk HP+ on my NA, and while the bite is good, the brake dust is pretty significant

Should’ve gone with EBC! Tried Hawk hps blues and could not go more than 500 miles before taking them off and replacing them with EBC yellows again. The noise was horrible.
