Brake pads POWER STOP or OEM Chevrolet

POWER STOP Brake pads

I went with Powerstop pads and centric rotors from Rock Auto and have been happy with the increase in bite and stopping power. I believe I purchased the hybrid ceramic/metallic pads.

Pros: increased bite, stopping power
Vehicle: Subaru

POWER STOP Brake pads

Currently I have the Power Stop Z23 rotor/brake pad kit, which has worked really well. Originally I had bought some no-name pads/rotors off of Amazon that wore down within 9 months somehow, so I decided to spend more on the Power Stop kit for peace of mind.

Pros: works really well, peace of mind
Cons: no-name pads wore quickly
Part number: Z23

I'm running the powerstop Z23 rotors and brake pad kit. Did it early spring last year. Very happy. I hated the initial bite of the stock pads, God forbid I hit a bump while braking. Pricey but happy with the look + performance. Im in the Midwest.

Pros: good look, good performance
Cons: pricey
Vehicle: Ford Fiesta

The brake rotors from the Grand Cherokee and Caprice are nearly the same measurements though so I can mix and match. The bonus is that because of the 1996 Impala SS you can get performance brake pads for the Caprice calipers.

Pros: performance brake pads available
Vehicle: Chevrolet Caprice

I've been happy with Power Stop Z23 Evo pads on both of my cars. Not crazy dusty, squeaky, or bitey and a slight improvement over stock.

Pros: slight improvement, not dusty
