I am on my second Kia vehicle, and they both have been amazing. 100k miles on my optima when it was totaled, and only thing ever replaced were the brakes at like 80k miles, besides regular oil changes.
I've only replaced my break pads twice and one new pair of car tires.
I have the 2018 (CVT). Bought it secondhand. Daily driven + i already driven it back and forth sa Manila and Baguio 4-5x already this year. I already clocked in 8k sa odo, ang pinaka naging issue ko lang is napudpod na brake pads + motor ng wiper na nasira.
I needed upgrades brakes (rear drums to discs), upgraded shocks with camber+caster adjustment, rear axle needed to be bent to give me more camber since GE8's don't have shimming like the GK or GD.
I recently changed entire front end + all 4 rotors and brakes and even asked them extensively about future parts availability.
Finally did brakes all round last year...had been warped for a long while, but held up well
Aftermarket on some newer Kia models can cause judder.
I have a Honda Pilot and it needed brake pads at 65k miles. The mechanic told me he replaces pads on Chevy Silverados at 25k miles.
Kia Sportage SUV, brakes locked up about 2K miles in, shop "fixed" it, the next week it literally spontaneously combusted in the wee hours of the morning.
Junk. Brakes are too small. Have to replace quickly. Plastic shit interior.
