I really liked the Hawk HPS 5.0s on my WRX. Good enough for the track and plenty comfortable for the street
I put Hawk Performance drilled and slotted on my 2017 STI. Ceramic pads. Have saved my car a couple times when assholes decided to jump the line and do a U-turn in front of me.
I swap mine the day before. They aren't race pads, just hawk hp+. I wouldn't want to daily them, they're loud and dusty but work totally fine on the street so I drive them to my track days

I think getting some nice aftermarket brake rotors and hawk pads would be good.

I'm running Hawk HPS pads with Raybestos Professional grade rotors. Got 5 years out of my first set, at 6 years now on the current set.
I recently did the Hawk 5.0 pads and they are lacking on initial bite. Bit disappointing. Much better for repeated breaking tho, as they warm up.
I used these Hawk brake pads for a HPDE track day so they did get very hot. They still have 10mm of thickness left, but this particular pad has these very pronounced cracks. All other pads have very minor cracks (barely visible), but this one was the worst.
Garbage pads. They're like a damn on/off switch and they chew through rotors.
