Hawk 5.0 Street Pads, if u want to do a mix of street, spirited and track driving, I run them on my GR86, and no issue. Though they do squeel a bit when its cold out.

Pros: good for mixed driving, no issues
Cons: squeal when cold
Vehicle: Toyota

i run HP+ for track days, will be doing my 4th on them in a few weeks. they are plenty for my level of driving. i take them off after my track day because they are loud and filthy. but for on-track, they are perfect.

Pros: perfect on track, sufficient performance
Cons: loud, filthy
Vehicle: Toyota

I have dtc-60 on mine. They’re great track pads, but overkill for your first track day. They’re comically squeaky if you use them around town and def not made for that.

Pros: great track pads
Cons: overkill for novice, very squeaky

I run the 60s in the front and stock in the rear. The 60s are a lot of braking power specially for your first time. I would not recommend the 70s that will be way too much. They are dusty but I'm at about 50% life on 5 track weekends. One weekend the car almost never shut off. If you are really using them make sure to give them a cool down lap or they will smoke.

Pros: lot of braking power, good longevity
Cons: dusty, can smoke without cooldown

I have the dtc60 with rbf600 fluid. No fade at all. Would recommend. If you're tracking only once a year though, make sure to swap back to street pads. The hawks dust a ton and squeal veeery loud.

Pros: no fade
Cons: very dusty, very loud

Hawk HPS 5.0 front and rear.

They dust the same as what came on my car from the factory, the first 1k miles they felt like they needed some extra heat in them to get a "normal" feel but by the time I left my neighborhood it was fine. Either I'm used to it now or it went away.

Cons: initial heat-up needed
Mileage: 1000 km

I ran HP+ pads and nearly ruined some STI Rays wheels I ordered from Japan. The key to cleaning the dust off is using a cleaner that has an iron remover. Sonax makes a good one. Meguiar's all wheel cleaner also works OK. I had to treat each wheel about 5x with a soft bristle brush and still ended up using a blue Scotch Brite to get the hard deposits of dust. I ended up removing some paint in some indescreet locations. I was super bummed. I no longer run these pads and run ceramics for the street. I plan to run more aggressive pads when needed, but haven't picked anything yet. The HP+ are great. The modulation is amazing. The bite, even when cold, is awesome. But there's a major trade off.

Pros: amazing modulation, awesome bite
Cons: ruined wheels, hard to clean dust
