I installed EBC Red Stuff street/track pads on my 2008 Mazda 6 about 10 or so years ago - front pad set only. I selected the Red Stuff pads because I wanted the performance of a trackable pad set, and I got it! The pads were also advertised to be a "low dust" formulation, which we all desire, of.course. I installed them with ceramic pad grease, and did the brake pad bedding procedure as specified by EBC. Prior to installing and bedding the pads, I had the beginnings of very slight front brake pulsation/lateral rotor runout. Believe it or not, this pulsation/runout was resolved after performing the bed in procedure and did not recur. I got the performance increase that I sought - the difference was GREAT, even though I did the front pad set only and the car's stopping power was already good. I found that the pads were not really low dust, at least by my interpretation.
I upgrade to EBC yellow stuff and R1 Concepts drill and slots rotors,ECS tuning brake lines and Motul brake fluid. Very pleased, definitely recommended setup
I run EBC Redstuff pads and they’re good enough for regular driving. Way less dusting than OEM pads.
I'm running EBC's GPFAX on my 636 and Vesrah RJL on the R3. EBC is great bang for the buck, plenty of confidence, never had fade, great bite. Far better than OEM.
I like my EBC red stuff. A little dusty.
I'm on stock rotors and calipers and it's all I need. Making 330whp/330wtq and it stops just fine.Stronger initial bite which gives the feeling of stronger brakes. Definitely better than OEM. Zero squeak/squeal with good ceramic lube
Ebc yellow pads Dot 5 SS lines monoblocks fronts, 4 pads per calliper running front pzero trofeo r ferocious stopping power
I live in North Jersey, so a bit warmer than by you but I haven't had problems with ebc red stuff pads. I've had them since last December paired with dba 4000 t3 rotors. They do feel like they don't grip as hard on the very first use each day but other than that no issues. The car is a daily driver.
I'm running EBC Yellows on my 15 WRX now, so similar in curb weight. Not great for a daily IMO. They squeal pretty bad and the dust build up is pretty significant. Have about 15K miles and 2 autocrosses on them and they perform great. Good bite when cold and even better if they get warmed up.
I ran them on my mustang. They were dirty and occasionally loud. They also didn't last for shit as I believe they are really formulated for lighter cars.
