Brake pads EBC or Raybestos

EBC Brake pads

The EBC RPX pads are their race ones and are incredibly good for the price. They last a long time and have serious bite. I have these paired with their fully floating rotors and callipers and have not had a single issue in a year of tracking my e46 m3.

Pros: good price, long lasting, serious bite

EBC yellows are completely fine. I used them when I tracked my Gen coupe and never had an issue. Dusty as shit, but I liked em for the track.

Pros: completely fine
Cons: dusty

EBC Brake pads

I drove pretty damn hard all 3 sessions in the novice group passing all kind of faster cars that I didn’t expect to. I had minimal brake fade and a light pulsation developing later in the session after long straights but never came close to an “oh shit” moment. I was pleasantly surprised the next day when I inspected the brakes and found the pads around 2/32nds and the rotors well above minimum spec. I expected to go metal to metal before the end of the day.

Pros: minimal fade, good life
Cons: light pulsation

I’ve been using EBC Yellowstuff on my mk7 gti for track days and daily driving. My first front set lasted 2.7 days (basically dissolving in my last run on one side). However, I’ve thought brake feel is good and I’ve now run a new set on new rotors for 4 track days. They look fine?

Pros: good brake feel
Cons: dissolved quickly
