EBC Brake pads

I've been more than happy with EBC Red Stuff pads - they hold up well to spirited mountain drives when I take my trips to AVF and Wookies each year, but have no downsides for daily driving duties. If tracking the car, you'll want something substantially more aggressive though.

Pros: hold up well, no downsides daily
Cons: need more aggressive for tracking

Another vote for EBC red. Have had them on my MK7.5 GTI and Porsche 991 C2S and very happy. Good initial bite and low dust as a bonus. Great for street but would consider Yellow if doing track days.

Pros: good initial bite, low dust
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I did EBC red stuff and replaced pads all around at ~50k miles. My rotors weren't bad at all so I kept the old ones on. My pads coulda gone a few more years also. No complaints!

Pros: no complaints
Mileage: 50000 km

I've done an almost complete overhaul on my bought-from-OG-owner low-k '07 B6 3.6 wagon. DSG from an R36, completely rebuilt suspension front to back on airbags, brakes, wrap, interior, sound system (the list goes on and on) for less than the purchase price of a used-by-who R36.

EBC Brake pads

Slotted are ok drilled are not going to hold up to daily driving. I tried stopteh , ebc and brembo all cracked at the drill points prematurely. I have a 2009 crew cab sport and use it to tow a Dodge Viper. EBC slotted and greens are what I use and have gotten the best mileage out of that pairing. The original mopar brakes lasted the longest but the greens decrease braking distance when towing IMO.

Pros: long lasting, decreased braking distance
Cons: cracked prematurely

I recently installed EBC redstuff with new rotors. Did the bed in procedure and worked great for first 300 miles or so. Today, I noticed a really loud squeaking noise coming from one of my wheels. Noise starts after brakes are warmed up, and increases when turning the wheel. Goes away when I apply the brakes. Think my pads might be glazed after some sprites driving, but not like I’ve done anything crazy.

Pros: worked great initially
Cons: loud squeaking noise
Mileage: 300 km

EBC yellow stuff are terrible for track use. Had a set disintegrate and nearly catch fire only like 12 mins into a session.

Cons: terrible, disintegrate

I burned through a set in 1 day in my WRX, then tried EBC blues and also burned through a set of those in one day.

Cons: burned through quickly
