Brake pads EBC or OEM Toyota

OEM Toyota Brake pads

I've driven a 2020 Prius Prime for 5 years now. Best car I've ever driven. Through 68,000 kms, I'm averaging 2.0L / 100km's. EV is programmed to not turn on below approx. -20C as a longevity feature. When temperature is below -8 the engine will turn on until warm enough to run EV efficiently.

Pros: perfect city commute car
Cons: EV not below -20C
Mileage: 68000 km

What's the current pad thickness? I'm about to install EBC Yellowstuff pads and new rotors on my Allroad. I've had Redstuff pads on lots of previous cars and found it was a great compound for low dust and better braking performance over the factory semi-metallic pads. I mostly use Yellowstuff nowadays simply because I like the way they brake (sharp bite, no fade on the street). But they are super dusty.

Pros: great compound, low dust, better braking
Cons: super dusty
Vehicle: Audi A4 allroad

OEM Toyota Brake pads

For example: my 2007 3MZFE Toyota with 227kmi -- considered one of the most reliable drivetrains ever built -- has required brakes, a wheel bearing, an intake rubber coupler, an alternator, and power steering lines replacement this year alone.

Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 227000 km

EBC Brake pads

I think ebc blue are pretty good for what you need. Only downsides are that they are dusting a lot and they're going to last only several track day sessions.

Pros: pretty good
Cons: lots of dust, short life
