I have these, like others have said you can just get stock 33 GTR pads and rotors off of z1 if your in the states. I recommend if it’s in your budget DB5000(front)3000?(I think for rear) and some hawk ceramics, braided lines. It’s a huge difference from stock by upgrading whole system and depending on how much you drive it will last forever. I’m on like year 6 since upgrades and and the pads and hats are still in great shape
For what it's worth, I had the shudder too, it was pad deposits on the rotors. New EBC pads, some hard braking, and it went away.
I just put red stuff on my Stinger GT2 and love them . I also put geo series drilled and slotted rotors. What I will share with you is I had to pull the metal plates off my break pads so that they could fit but other than that their great.
I've been daily driving my SR11 for a year, and almost 10k miles in my Type R. Never had these issues, not even close. As someone else said, I have immediate bite even in zero degree temps. Have tracked them a few times with no issues either. I bought another set for when these eventually wear out, although that is taking a while.
EBC Ultimax brakes, from PerfectBrakes.com - low dust, fantastic performance. My cruise control took a while to get used to the new brake pads.
I did a pad swap at 6k with EBC Yellow pads and it made a significant difference.
Ebc redstuff pads and dba rotors are what I run and I love it. The pads do squeak a little sometimes but only if you’re real soft on the brakes
I have EBC Bluestuff on my M4. I think they are a good hybrid pad, and fine for sprint or autocross, but they will melt as an endurance pad. Sessions longer than 30 min on brake heavy courses and they will glaze.
Be careful when buying brakes for the Stinger, if you buy anything cheaper than the originals you'll get a nasty judder within a couple thousand miles! I had to replace the disc and pads with EBC Yellow to get rid of it. The judder was awful.
I have personally ran these rotors with EBC HH pads. I blued them on my first track day and swapped to used OEMs before the next. They felt fine as far as bite but the immediate bluing shows they’re not up to any amount of real heat. If I ran them for a track day or two more they surely would’ve faded badly and warped. I don’t recommend them.
