Also swap out pads, I like ebc redstuff, about 20% of the dust as stock. isweeps have even less dust but don't have the bite that stock or ebcs do.
I put on EBC redstuff and they work well.
But the EBC SR11 and SR21 pads have been a game changer for us with regard to wear rate. We run these on our endurance race car and so far they have blown everything else we have tried out of the water. We just started using these so my experience is limited. But we just ran an 8 hour enduro at the ridge and used 1.5mm of front brake pad. This length of enduro at this track would usually consume an entire set of front pads down to damn near the backing plates. This is on a fox body mustang that’s 2600lbs and makes 330whp.
EBC blue on stock rotors, and stock suspension for 2 seasons so far... The pads are done, but I think I'll be getting the EBC blue again
I use EBC red stuff Front and rear. Better than OE performance, with less brake dust.
I upgraded to ebh yellows from stock, they are affordable, huge braking improvement in pedal feel, if your in a cold climate id avoid ceramics.
I'm at just about 25,000 miles and the brakes are starting to feel a little worn out. I'm thinking of upgrading the pads (rotors aren't in the budget right now) and was looking at the EBC Redstuff ones. Probably shoulda gone with the power stops but since it’s a small upgrade I figured the extra money is worth it.
New EBC/TRW pads, rotors and calipers front and back. New super dot fluid, several ABS bleed procedures, new clutch master and new slave cylinder. I put a new German/OE brake booster hose that attaches to the manifold. The new one tightened the pedal up for sure but it still stops slowly with decent pressure on the pedal
Hated my pair of Yellowstuff. Squeaked like no other. But I'm pretty sure mine were defective. I've been told they squeak but not ear piercing like mine were.
I had yellowstuffs on my e46 330i and they were gone within 3 days on track. Swapped to Pagid RSL1/29 (Front/Rear) after and never looked back
