Brake pads Carbotech or OEM Subaru
I use the XP10s on track. Highly recommend them. Since you don’t even have the Z51, likely the XP10s will be more than enough for you.
I track a WRX and have used XP12's in the front and XP10's in the rear. They work very well. IMO Carbotechs are one of the best for the track
Carbotech and dont look back, many proven won championships and leading modular pedal feel. I run them and love them !
I've owned 5 subies including 2 WRX's...I always used OEM pads. They seem to be the best bang for the buck. I've tried spending more a couple times and it just wasn't worth the cost.
I ran xp10s on a Jetta with no issues. They got really really hot, but no fade or loss of pressure. It was so hot it melted the tabs that held the plastic center cap on my wheel.
I run carbotechs on my GT350. Multiple weekends on them.
Been running carbotechs on my m2comp and C's and 2 seasons. Love them. Xp10 up front, xp8 for the rear. Track only pads that I can drive to the track with
personally, yeah i don't find the brakes to be particularly worse than my other non performance cars. i did feel like that at first but once i got used to it it was no issue.
None of those vehicles had as garbage brakes or any problem stopping way before getting near hitting another car in an emergency braking situation ever.
The base model brakes on the 2022 WRX are the least confidence inspiring brakes I’ve ever encountered.
