For my GR86 Carbotech XP10s have been amazing on the track, seriously no complaints at all. The XP10s with Castrol SRF have been a great combo and held up really well even on some really big/high speed tracks. I swap in my OEM pads when I’m not tracking the car for awhile. It’s not great because I have to bed the pads every time I change them. Once I’m through the OEM pads I’m going to get the Carbotech 1521’s for the street, that way like you mentioned I think I can avoid having to avoid bedding my brakes with every change. The XP10’s function well on the street but they feel a little rough if not up to temp and they are insanely loud.
I personally use Carbotech XP10 for track and Stoptech Sport pads for street on the same rotors
I had Carbotech XP12 before and they're were great, but squealed like a pig on the street. I haven't tracked the Dynamic Friction but aggressive street even on V730 & daily driving, they've been great.
These new ceremic pads can last pretty long. My Honda has almost 70k miles and still plenty pads left.
I use Carbotech xp10 in the front, xp8 in the rears. Love them. Semi heavy car but they feel great the entire weekend. They are very loud on street though
I went from EBC to Carbotech. It’s a night and day difference. I’m running XP8, but my car is very light.
I've been to 20 track events to this day I'm still running OEM calipers. Just carbotech pads. You don't need a big brake kit at all. The oem cracks because of improper cooldown. I learned that after a session to take my cooldown lap seriously and ever since then i stopped cracking AutoZone rotors
I ran stock rotors for a long time with carbotech xp10/8, front brake ducts, stainless lines, and Motul 660. The XP10/8 + ducts was sufficient for 20min session the tracks I drive.
I had rears replaced at 40k. At 60k now. I’ve always had a rumbling sound and vibration when breaking from 60-55 mph (around 57) since 40k.
my 08 Accord went through rear pads every 18-20K miles. They were way too soft.
