The rest (brake pads), I guess this is OEM but if you go to Sharjah and buy the parts yourself, I am confident you can get much lower prices, especially if you buy aftermarket such as Textar which is a OEM supplier.
I swapped front pads with a 13mm socket, hammer and drift pin. In about 30 mins in my driveway. $210, parts delivered from Amazon. Took the opportunity to scrub out calibers free from all the caked on brake dust. Cleaned the inside of the wheels while I was there. Dealership wanted $787 just for the front pads and quoted more than $1000 installed. Easiest job ever and saved $500-$700.
If you DIY and have the tools I did front and rear brakes on my 340i with brembos for $725ish
I have 45k miles on my 2016 STI and just replaced all 4 rotors and pads with another set of Brembos. I don’t drive the car particularly hard and probably could have waited a bit longer but they are done now so I shouldn’t have to worry about them. Cost me about 1k all-in, parts and labor.
I just put some Brembro low met pads on out SQ5. They are more progressive bite, but I like them better than the Hawk HPS 5.0 on my S4. When you get on them they stop very well. Not sure on dust yet.
I recently installed Brembo pads. It cost around £150 for the whole set (1 pair at the back, 2 pairs for the front). But the new ones are day and night difference. It's now super sharp with amazing modulation.
Brembo pads are better than oem and cheaper through rock auto. Recommend oem rotors though.
OE benz brakes have small depressions drilled in to the face of the rotors. When those disappear, you need new brakes. If you see dimples, go on to the next square...I have a 2019 C43. Second set of pads front, Second set rear, 106k miles. My wear indicators are almost gone, so I have a set of OE brembo rotors and Benz pads sitting on the shelf. I am waiting for the dashboard warning light...front and rear have a sensor that will alert you when you are almost done.
Brake rotors are ATE and pads are Textar.
Textar pads are OEM I believe. My advice is just avoid brembo pads. Mine create so much dust my wheels look awful a day after being cleaned
