Brembo sintered for 2k 🤯
Stoptech 309 and Endless MX72/CCRG pads. They were great for my beginner's pace on the track. Obviously once I started pushing it more, you'll find the limits of the pad.
The Ohlins / Brembo combo is light years better than the suspension and brakes on my MT07 were though
A set of 2x front Brembo pads and discs are less than £300 from Eurocarparts
I use Brembo Ceramic brake pads on my Mini Cooper S and Brembo rotors. Less dust, no noise.
They are Brembo brakes so can be done anywhere.
If your car is spec'd for Brembo brake pads, they probably weren't fully needed in yet, which is 100% normal.
I had Brembo rotors and ceramic pads front and rear on my 2017 V60 T5. Rotors were fine, the pads wore out ridiculously fast. Switched to Akebono pads and was much happier. They lasted literally twice as long.
I put some Brembo prime pads on my S80 I had them on before and were pretty solid, until they were about 80% worn and braking performance fell off a cliff Put new prime pads all round and for the first 2k miles they were amazing, very sharp brake feel but again performance started to degraded noticeably From cold they're crap, after about 5 minutes of driving when they warm up they bite as they should, also dust like mad, I left a 3 star review on AutoDoc and they gave me a full refund citing this could be a potential warranty issue, although I reckon that's them not wanting bad reviews on their site I'm probably going to go for Bosch next as that's the OEM Volvo use
This time the shims on the back of my new Brembo brake pads are rotating? Weird! Can’t figure out the mechanics of that happening. Doesn’t make any sense. Only a month old.
