I would go with Brembo or some other reputable performance brakes before I’d ever consider 7k for Audi brakes lol.
A lot of the regular maintenance items are quite reasonable, brakes are off the shelf brembo and the front calipers are used on a lot of VW group cars, hell I even fitted a pair to my old Octy vRS.
Yes, its definitely worth it. The brake feel and performance gives you way more confidence in the car and you will cook the stock brakes pretty fast when you get aggressive with them on a track.
Mustan Dark Horse SC is available exclusively with Brembo brakes. Six-piston front calipers and four-piston rears with cast discs are standard and build on the record-setting 60-0 performance of the 5.0-liter Mustang Dark Horse
My buddy has a base 22 and has driven my 24 TR. He noted the Brembos have a much better bite to them.
The OEM Sports brakes are just Brembo’s stickered as Infiniti.
after getting the calipers and repairing the threads and installing i noticed these brembo nao pads dont like to just slide into the calipers. Seems like the material on the outside of the pads is a little thick? Theres no debris or warping of that metal shim piece that I can eyeball. Is this common? Im reading alot of people sanding the outside edges to get them to slide in smoothly?
I’ve got the brembos and sometimes the squeak when cold but they don’t make any other sounds
I and most would recommend against getting the stock Brembo pads. They are far too soft and when they heat up, excess material sticks to the rotor causing the shaking under braking eventually.
Brembo are made under license and are rubbish.
