Brake pads Bosch or Mintex

I went aftermarket with centric posi-quiet pads or Bosch quiet cast. Won’t ever go back to factory.

I did Bosch quiet cast pads and rotors on the front on my 12 a couple months back. I’m happy with them.

Brembo, bosh and a few others mentioned in another comment are all really good too.

I got the Bosche pads. I think they were in a higher category than daily but the front+back together ended up being cheaper then other brands I was looking at. Just make sure you get ones clearly labeled front or back, and Japan built.

I got BREMBO rotors and Bosch quiet cast pads, happy with the purchase.

I was very happy with Bosch BP621 brake pads. It had excellent grip.

Mintex is a step below the OEM Jurid/ATE/TRW pads in terms of friction coefficient. Mintex is an upgrade when it comes to dust. Right now, running Akebono Euro Ceramics... I won't come to my verdict until winter.

replaced calipers with OE ones again, uprated discs with mintex pads. worked hundreds for bout 500miles and now its playing up again like before.

Mintex Red Box pads are crap - the company changed hands a few years ago and quality has sucked since with some folks experiencing large chunks of pad material just falling away.

I had a set of Mintex Red Boxes on my '98 GTI-VR6. Other than producing less dust (or a less-visible dust), I thought they were garbage. The stock pads stopped and felt better.
