I have Hawk Performance Ceramic pads and Eurospec slotted roters on my GLI daily driver and they've always seemed to bite right away.
Installed front and rear Akebono Euro ceramic pads on my car. Have only driven about 200 miles but there is almost no brake dust on my wheels. Initial bite is a little less than stock pads but modulation is fine and no noise. So far, so good.
HP+ is a good pad for street/autox, and some light track use. They will dust a good amount, and have a squeel now and then. I found it has a minor tendancy to fade on faster road courses
I had Akebono pads on my A4 and will be getting them for the CC, they stopped great and the dust will much much better than OEM.
I've had Hawk Performance Ceramic pads on GLI daily driver for 2+ years. They stop very well and keep the RC's nice and clean...almost no dust.
I've had Hawk performance Ceramic pads on my GLI for 2+ years. No problems at all and they stop very well.
I've used Hawk HPS pads on every car I've owned (4) and i've never regretted it. Its a good upgrade from OEM without to much squealing.
I'm running Akebono ceramic pads, good price, no dust and brake nice for an OEM setup.
Update: Replaced all the brake pads with Akebono Euro Ceramic pads last week and have been squeak free since. Let's hope it stays this way. Besides being quiet, they give off low brake dust, have a nice brake feel and were reasonably priced ($130 after tax and shipping off Amazon).
After a vicious session at Dunnville my HPS pads were faded to nothing after 4 laps. HP Plus aquipped cars faired better than myself. For the street HPS is a good. But if you track at all then HP PLus is the bare minimum with Blue being preferred.
