I got some akebono pads for my front brakes after scotty kilmer talked praise about them in a bunch of his videos.

Its been ~8 months and theyre still working great without much brake dust.

I have been using Akebono pads front and rear for the last few years. They give minimal dusting nothing too crazy. The pads are decent compared to OEM

Pros: minimal dusting, decent

Akebono Brake pads

I switched to Akebono ceramic compound after about six months of trying the Hawk HPS street pads. Performance is on par with OEM but I was looking for something that has less brake dust.

Pros: less brake dust, OEM performance

Not cheap, but Endless makes perfect street pads that last a long time, are quiet, very little dust, good cold bite, and high coefficient of friction and heat range.

Pros: long lasting, quiet, little dust
Cons: not cheap

The issue with the brakes is mainly from the oe brake pads which have no pedal modulation and act like an on/off switch. You can change out the front pads to Akebono Euro pads (fairly inexpensive) and it will provide actual pedal control of the brakes.

Pros: actual pedal control
Cons: no pedal modulation

Akebono Brake pads

Akebono makes the pedal feel substantially softer. It still stops well, but the initial bite is much weaker than any OE/OEM pad like Textar.

Pros: stops well
Cons: soft pedal, weak initial bite
