Brake discs STOPTECH or POWER STOP

POWER STOP Brake discs

I use powerstops and love them. They don't warp and the silver plating on the entire disk didn't rust through. Where I live in Ocean county NJ there are some horrible drivers and these have stood some hard testing.

Pros: don't warp, didn't rust

STOPTECH Brake discs

daily driving, you can get a full set of bosch pads from rock auto for ~60$. I like stoptech slotted rotors to help get debris off the pads. they also hold up a bit better than standard blanks. drilled rotors are mostly for looks and can crack much easier under heat unless you are spending big bucks on a high end rotor, which imo isn’t worth the cost.

Pros: hold up better
Cons: drilled rotors crack easily

I have the Stoptech Z23 slotted and drilled rotors with carbon ceramic brake pads. Overall, I’m happy with them. The biggest complaint is that they use undersized brake pads, which is a feature that performance pads have in order to accommodate expansion under high heat. Because they’re undersized, when you brake in the opposite direction that you brakes last, they will “click” as they shift slightly inside the caliper. They don’t do it while driving unless you change direction, but I would have considered less aggressive pads if I knew they would do this. That said, I have had zero issues and great braking performance in spirited driving and emergency braking, over the last 45K miles or so.

Pros: great braking performance
Cons: undersized pads, clicking noise
Mileage: 45000 km

POWER STOP Brake discs

I got a set of PowerStop Evolution Sport D&S coated rotors for my 2010 Toyota RAV4 V6 4WD Limited, both front and back. Along with the Z23 Carbon fiber ceramic pads. These things are a BEAST! I can still modulate my speed, but when a high-speed stop is needed, they are up to the task.

Pros: modulate speed, up to task
Vehicle: Toyota

I have the evolution set from power stop, worked great no noise, no dust. But yeah hadn't had any issues with power stop rotors or pads. If you looking for a good daily pad that keeps the dust down I'd go carbon

Pros: no noise, no dust

POWER STOP Brake discs

I personally have had great results with power stop. Especially on my ‘11 f-150 when towing. The heavy duty towing rotors exceeded my expectations for the price.

Pros: exceeded expectations, great results
Vehicle: Ford

Nothing is overkill on these trucks brake wise. I have powerstop rotors and brembo pads. Has saved my bacon once when traffic stopped instantly on the highway.

Pros: saved my bacon, great stopping power

My experience with my 2015 - non-PP - is that the pads are about the worst that I have ever experienced. Material transfer on the front rotors was a constant problem...this stopping from 75 mph at the bottom of a long highway ramp...the pulsating changed in sync with how hot the day was and how hard I was using the brakes...I do not drive this car hard. I replaced everything.

Pros: replaced everything
Cons: material transfer, constant problem
Vehicle: Volkswagen
