Bought my 2018 Stinger GT new - within a few months my steering would shake like it had warped rotors - and it wasnt always the case - it would be ok at times, then come back. I use Auto Hold a lot - and it seems that feature causes the shaking in the steering wheel the more I used it. I did talk with Kia about it and they dismissed it and said it was fine - after being sick and tired of the shaking I went and bought new rotors and pads from R1 Concepts and havent looked back - no issues at all since I installed them and I use Auto Hold every single day.

Pros: no issues since install
Cons: steering wheel shake
Vehicle: Kia

Centric Brake discs

Odysseys are also famous for warped rotors, and the most common recommendation is Centric rotors to stay in the affordable camp.

Pros: affordable, common recommendation

R1 Concepts Brake discs

R1 concept is what I use, with the drilled and slowed with there performance pads, works very good and at a low cost , plus the rotors look awesome on the car.

Pros: low cost, works very good

Switching to Centric rotors (Stoptech) and akebono pads. At first I thought the slight pulsing was warped rotors, but sanding the surface of the rotors, made it go away.

Pros: sanding fixed pulsing
Cons: factory brakes lacking
Mileage: 50000 km

Before my StopTech BBK, I ran Centric high carbon blank rotors. They are affordable on Rock Auto, and lasted forever.

Pros: affordable, lasted forever

Centric Brake discs

Centric makes ones that are painted black. I clean them up with brake cleaner and tape off the pad contact area, then use engine enamel spray paint to add an additional coat. I’m up in New England and one winter will do this to rotors. I do the same when I have to replace calipers. Lasts at least 3-4 years In my experience

Pros: lasts 3-4 years, easy to repaint
Cons: rusts in winter
