Brake discs Centric or GiroDisc

GiroDisc Brake discs

I did mine pretty early solely because the OEM rotors were wearing like a vinyl record. Both the pads and rotors still had plenty of material—it was just a bad wear pattern. I went to Girodisc pads and rotors and have had them on happily ever since.

Pros: happy with Girodisc
Cons: bad wear pattern

I use Centric Cryo-Treated 125s on my Brembo swapped VA WRX. They are a great rotor and have held up really well over the 20k miles that I have been running them. They still look almost brand new, which is crazy considering what they have been through.

Pros: great rotor, held up well, look almost brand new
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 20000 km

Centric Brake discs

As others said, rockauto for parts. CENTRIC rotors are considered the best. Pad choice will only affect brake dust levels for street driving.

Pros: rotors considered the best
Cons: brake dust levels

Centric Brake discs

I used Centric Premium rotors on my last Jeep XJ which is notorious for marginal brakes and they were good. I did bed them in per instructions, they got smoky, stinky hot.

Pros: good performance
Vehicle: Jeep

GiroDisc Brake discs

I had similar issues with my girodsics when I got them. The bigger issue was the rotors were hitting the top of the caliper and SCREAMING even when I wasn’t braking. I got in contact with Girodisc and they sent me some more spacers to push the caliper away from the rotor a bit more.

Pros: manufacturer provided solution
Cons: rotors hitting caliper, screaming noise
