Battery OPTIMA or OEM KIA

My Optima same model as that, is on its 11th year . Yes, non-corrosive. I switched to AGM because I was tired of batteries coming apart at the top seam and leaking acid into the engine bay. I have never had corrosion on the Optima terminals, either. Recently made Optimas have lost their good reputation however, so if you buy one, make sure you can return it if it dies prematurely. I have switched to another brand AGM on the basis of those bad reports.

My TT has an OPTIMA YELLOW TOP. Battery put in service date 12/2006 9 years on a battery in this heat...un freakin heard of! Very good value for down here.

Been running an optima in both my cars for years. Best decision ever.

Purchased a Red Top 35 today and it fits! I did have to take the bottom bracket and flip it so that the side of the battery facing the headlight [+ -] stayed secure.

I ended up buying a red top optima gel battery....expeeeensiiiive

I had a red top in my mk5 after the OEM one took a dump. It worked very well without any issues.

been using optima redtops for almost 10years in all my vws. even when i was out of warranty they still let me take it in for a free new swap. theyre somewhat overkill for basic cars but w/e. i love them.

I had numerous Optima batteries in my car for about 12 years and the only reason I kept going with them was because they replaced it under warranty every time they went bad.

Their batteries have never been great, and they've always failed prematurely for myself and several others.

Optima is no longer the same quality as it was years ago due to outsourcing to Mexico
