BMWs are super good on batteries. They seem to last 9 years or more even in the midwest with extreme cold.

I got a full ten years on mine. 2012 F30 320d that i've had from new, now got 85k miles.

Pros: full ten years, long lasting

low miles 10 yr old vehicle means its possible it has the original BMW factory installed battery. Some of those can last 10 years, I had a 2013 bmw 3 series and in 2022, I finally changed the original battery.

Optima batteries suck as of the parent company’s sale about 10 years ago. Dead battery rate tripled in our fleet of cop cars (used for driving instruction).
