Battery OEM KIA or OEM Volvo

I'm at over 90k miles in a 2022 Kia EV6 and haven't had an ICCU issue. All I've done outside normal wear and tear like tires is upgraded to an AGM 12V battery to solve crappy OEM battery problems

I\u2019ve owned an S60 T8 for 2 and a half years now. Like others have said Volvo PHEVs deplete the battery first by default before touching the gas engine.

I have been driving a 2023 S60 Recharge for 2 years now. If someone told you it's bad to drive them with the battery depleted, they lied to you.

When i changed my battery in my Kia eSoul (same car, different brand) the only thing that happened was that the aux bat SOC said 255 for some time. Then car calibrated itself to the new battery and said the right value.

Depending on the year/model of the car you might need to have the battery "registered" using a special tool after installing it.

Just do it yourself or find an independent shop.

Another is that the OEM Kia battery just sucks…they fail. The fix is to get a new battery that doesn’t suck. Kia will replace the dead one within warranty but you’ll get another dodgy OEM battery. Most people seem to trend towards buying a good AGM aftermarket battery for this.

Only things that went a couple months back was the EGR and a window mechanism. And the battery a year before.

I'm at the third battery at 7000 miles and 6 months (2024 niro ev) and the battery is dead again this morning, like wtf.

Biggest issue was it ate batteries, never had a car go through so many batteries
