Battery OEM Chevrolet or Varta
Bought VARTA 12V, 45/60 AH (not sure) battery with 20 months warranty for 230 Aed from New bharath pitstop, Al Qusais.
Go for Amaron or any battery with higher warranty period. Don't go for just 1 year as the weather in UAE is pretty harsh on batteries.
We've been driving two EVs, a 2012 Leaf since Dec2011 and a 2017 Bolt since Sept 2017.
In the Bolt we lose about 40% range at -20 and lower. Bu the range is so good to begin with its not an issue.
My MK7 is still rocking the Varta OEM battery from 2015 since new, and my MK4 has a "duralast" Gold H5 which has a 1/2016 stamp on it and it is still doing fine.
So maybe your dealer does but we receive ours from interstate and have Varta branding on them.
I had an OEM VW battery made by Varta. It lasted from October 2005 to May 2014. It spent time in Michigan, Minnesota and northern Germany. I never had any problems with it.
The OEM battery is probably the best bang for the buck. I replaced mine with another OEM one after 7 years as a preventive measure. It was still performing fine.
Agree with everybody on here, change your battery - I had similar problems and others not mentioned, changed the battery and almost all problems disappeared.
I bought my 2008 3.6 4motion wagon a little over 3 years ago. It came with the original OEM battery, part number 4F0 915 105 E, and I was both impressed that it lasted that long and curious as to how much longer it would last.
I only use Varta batteries and i hade my 4 years and i dont even use it in winters(6Months) and when i charge it it keeps me up the rest of the summer around 6 months there too...=)
my 2019 GolfR battery died recently. well, it wouldn't hold any capacity and had to be charged every few days. anyway, i had my warranty apppointment today at the dealer and stood outside for an hour. i was wondering why it took so long. the new battery is a 000.915.105.CB.DSP. hopefully the AGM battery will do better with mine too.
