I am using Bosch battery for my BMW, going through my 2nd, it lasts for 2 years+, less than 50% of the price of the dealership
Also the original equipment Bosch battery that came in my wife's 2006 TDI Golf when we bought it in 2015. The good ones aren't available anymore by the time they wear out.
My truck has a 4 or 5 year old Bosch in it, still works great.
Factory exhaust manifold cooling and Bosch battery.
I purchased 2 as a drop in replacement for an old 1400VA APC UPS.
I couldn't find the datasheet on the bosch website but I found out via a few online posts that these batteries are actually manufactured by Exide.
So we bought a new 550CCA battery and installed it and it started right up. When I pulled the 18 month old OEM battery out, I was shocked at the CCA rating: 356. 356!!!! That's insane.
Some BOSCH batteries used on VW cars last around 2 years or a bit more but cost appropriately.
I had Subaru batteries last me only 2 years in upstate NY. I kept getting them for free under warranty. I probably got 4 this way. Finally, the dealer said your alternator is bad and that's why they are going bad (completely bogus). I started going to a local mechanics soon after that and they told me that super OEM batteries are complete garbage.
I have a 2019 Subaru outback. The battery dies every two months and I am left stranded.
The OEM battery sucks I upgraded mine to an AGM with an extra 100 or so CCA. A better battery will also let your auto start stop last longer. Stock battery would never last a stop light for while under load new battery gives me a lot more time even under load.
