Alternator OEM Toyota or Denso
Mechanic put in a different kind, and I spent all last summer with dead batteries. After a lot of troubleshooting, and thinking there was a parasitic draw, we found the alternator was bad. Replaced w/ Denso, and no problems since.
I replaced my odysseys alternator with a denso and it's been great i also think denso was the oem part anyway.
For anyone looking for a drop in upgrade, I used a 105 amp for a Suzuki. Made by Denso. No harness needed, plugs right in. Going strong for a couple years now in my 3rd gen.
I just replaced mine and went with a denso reman. They are the makers of the oem alternator so I’d trust them more than other brands.
Denso is likely the OE manufacturer, as they provide a lot of MOPAR OE alternators and I know they do for the T&C/Voyager/Pacificas.
I’m in the Boston burbs, I got the alternator replaced for $350 with parts (remanufactured OEM Denso alternator) included 3 years ago. $450 sounds about right.
I got a reman denso from rock auto for like 120 bucks after core charge return. Don’t know how people feel about em, but reman has usually never done me wrong on other cars I’ve owned.
I’d recommend DENSO reman as they make a bunch of OEM stuff for our cars. Recently put a denso in my car after I got the pure energy brand on rock auto that failed.
Don't buy a Remanufactured They Always Whine And Won't work the first Time Buy Them New From Denso
I had this happen with a new Denso out of the box for my Subaru and didn’t notice the battery light wasn’t turning on for the bulb check (and in turn not charging my battery) but it also wasn’t turning on to warn me that it wasn’t charging so I thought it was all good, until my car died pulling into a parking spot lol, found that the voltage regulator had a bad ground path inside the alternator so the charging circuit would never turn on.
