Alternator OEM BMW or Duralast

The Duralast one looks to have a lifetime warranty.

I'm selling a GM alternator, mount, pulley, and plug. It's the Duralast Gold Delco 12 SI 94amp, just warrantied it. Hasn't been on a vehicle.

Finally, ordered a duralast Alternator which is expected to be delivered tomorrow.

Duralast Gold = new manufacture. A new unit from China. Sometimes OK, but often crap.

Duralast = Duramightlast. They're just overpriced cheap rebuilt cores.

We were on our way back from a daytrip when the M3's alternator decided to give up the ghost about 1.5 hours from home.

All I could recommend is stop buying the autozone/duralast alternators. Buy a good brand, ie Denso, Delco, Motorcraft, etc. and return the duralast one outright for cash in hand.

Duralast..... if you want to get really good at changing them.
