Alternator OEM Audi or GENERAL MOTORS

My 19 c8 3.0 had the same exact issue within 4 months of buying it last year. And the car died on me mid fwy in dtla. Take it in to ur nearby dealer theres an open recall on the alternator i believe.

Might be a coincidence, but those lights all came on about a month before the Electical System: Malfunction light came on in my 2021 S6. They replaced my battery and alternator.

The alternator itself can get bad only if the bearings are shot. If you don't have play on the shaft, and it spins freely then the alternating part of the alternator is fine. What can get pretty bad are the diode rectifier bridge.

If you have the V6 4.3 it's one of the more dependable motors GM ever made. The factory alt is rated at 105 amps. Should be enough for your needs.

Rs6 definitely has an alternator issue. I’m currently at 25k on oem alternator.

It went out at 40,000 miles and was replaced without issue by the dealer which provided an A6 as a loaner for the week it took to replace the alternator. I still love the car and would not move to Mercedes

My Q8 alternator died today. 3 year old car 36k miles on the clock. Luckily I was right next an Audi dealership with a garage when the display panel told me to stop driving and pull over safely. When the mechanics got to the car they couldn\u2019t even start it.

Mine failed at 55k a couple of weeks ago. A couple months prior to this I had complained to the dealership and showed them all the reports of this issue online... At the time they denied any knowledge of the alternator issue.

Audi really dropped the ball on building such a poor performing alternator!

three alternators in a Cadillac, even "new GM" are remans, only way to get a new one (never installed, made of new parts, new for you) is to buy a new car.
