Oem oem oem oem dont fuck up your car cheaping out on parts. Especially VQs they don’t perform well or usually don’t even work with aftermarket parts like those considering your plugs or coils. Got with ngk iridium or denso
Owner reviews for spark plug
I put Autolite Iridium plugs in my '06 N52 20k miles ago because of a crazy sale/rebate. It runs as smooth as a new one.
I have a MK6 GTI and I replaced the Spark Plugs using the NGK recommended ones from Rock Auto and they were the OEM replacements.
I have the projected NGKs and they work great.
I run these on my stage 2 2019. Runs great. Like zero knock. Sometimes idle seems a bit less smooth when engine really hot but tach holds dead steady. Ran a set for 5k, inspected and put back in for another 5k then replaced with a fresh set and have another 2k on the new set.
I use NGK... it's the same 1/16 turn instructions on my Suzuki outboard (also NGK) and I use the same method of 1/4 -1/2 turn. Been good with those over 6 or 7 changes.
I however replaced mine with motorcraft and do not have pinging anymore but still run 91 octane as 93 isn’t common in socal.
I have used Rs7 plugs (meh), the APR recommended NGK plugs (rough idle, gapped correctly), and the Brisk ER12S. I'm on my second set of the Brisk, and plan to keep using them.
As long as it’s not auto lite plugs you should be good. I’ve seen those things hinder 3 separate rigs from running right. Once one cracked 100 miles after installing them, half way through a trip we had to sop at autozone and replace plugs
I tried one of the economy plugs on my 02 Accord. Ended up having to chuck it and buy a Denso.
