Sonax BSD is a goated product. The water beading is crazy with this even though my car is already ceramic coated.

I have had the o ring seal leak very slightly on the J35 v6’s a couple of times… so on occasions I have put a very very thin coating of Honda bond on the o ring itself and then assembled. The gasket surfaces absolutely must be clean and dry

I like Blacklight as a sealant.

Oh yeah, when you re-seal everything (cam timing covers, etc) use Honda Bond from your local Honda dealer @ $10/tube. I've had much better luck with this on machined surfaces, being leak free on many personal cars for 5+ years.

Loctite 518 is good stuff, however there is an "old" and "new" formulation for it. The old one is amazing for sealing cases.

Ive been using Victor reinz sealant forever on the oil pans.

I have never had any issued with it. I've use for every pan or area required by Audi and VW. One tube from VW goes a long way. About 4 to 5 pans.

i am putting on a new oil pan since i stripped the drain plug hole in mine. i ordered the replacement from adirondak (germanautoparts.com) and the tube of sealant (Kolbenschmidt brand).
