Owner reviews for oil filter
I used to strictly go OEM with the blue filters, but switched to WIX after watching this:No issues to report.. little more peace of mind
Yeah on a vertical filter, i always put a bit of fresh oil on the rubber gasket so why not fill up the filter while at it. I put just a little bit in horizontal filters and for the top mounted filter on my ancient toyota I pat it and wish it luck
Wait until you change the filter on a Subaru where the filter is upside down.
you can slap some new wheels on for a fresher look but obviously do this with number 2 in mind.
Mahle is the way. Allegedly the OEM maker and after using them for a year they look and feel exactly the same.
I have used K&N filter the entire time on my car. Owned it for almost 5 years and never had a problem.
Another Hengst filter?
Just stay far far away from FRAM oil filters. I've had nothing but bad luck from those things.
In these days I'll try another type of filter. If you search for images I've tried in order: the Mann filter (it works but not for a long time, because it isn't tight and it bends and this valve will open) and now I'm trying valeo ones, these ones are pure garage, after just 1k kilometers it starts to have problem, and it twists on itself.
