Fram Cabin filter

Just get a multi layered, charcoal infused filter for cleaner air inside the cabin. Fram makes a good example and it's available at all Walmarts.

Pros: cleaner air inside
Cons: not inexpensive

Wix Cabin filter

I'm a WIX filter fan myself (though virtually anything that fits properly will be effective). If it were up to me, I'd go with a WIX WP10320. Rock Auto (.com) has them for $15 (+ shipping). They aren't charcoal, but electrostatic which is a bit fancier.

Pros: effective, easy install
Part number: WP10320

OEM Audi Cabin filter

The service writer asked if I saw the video from the mechanic and asked if I had any questions. That was it. I had them do an inspection and they recommended the cabin air filter and the engine air filter for almost $300 but no one even mentioned it. Obviously I did them myself for $40.

Pros: did them myself
Cons: dealer is expensive
Vehicle: Audi

OEM Honda Cabin filter

Tbh I was looking a lot into them. I just ended up going to the Honda delaership in person and buying their Honda OEM filter they had for $45~ CAD. Save myself all the labour and markup and the fit was super nice. Most filters have a bad fit so even though it says it’ll go for the car you have it’s not a snug fit

Pros: super nice fit, good quality
Cons: bad fit

VALVOLINE Cabin filter

I always pass on their $59 cabin air filters though, and just pick up a new one for $14 at the auto parts store down the road.

Pros: cheaper at auto store
Cons: expensive at Valvoline

Fram Cabin filter

Go to Part Source. Take your filter in and see if it matches the CF11819 FRAM Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter for $30 dollars. Note, some of the filters on Amazon do not have the same amount of pleats as the OEM or the FRAM.

Pros: cheap alternative available
Cons: fewer pleats than OEM
Vehicle: Hyundai Santa Fe
Part number: CF11819

Wix Cabin filter

One out of two times they gave me the wrong engine filter, even though they searched by VIN number. The second, and last time, I purchased from them, they sold me an aftermarket cabin filter for the same price as OEM.

Pros: null
Cons: wrong filter, overpriced aftermarket
Vehicle: Mazda
