Dump the OEM pads. I went Dixcel in my M3 and the thing stops better and there’s so much less dust. Traded off is squeal at higher brake temps.

Pros: stops better, less dust
Cons: squeal at higher temps
Vehicle: BMW

Carbotech Brake pads

I'm liking the Carbotech 1521 pads for their better heat tolerance and modulation over OEM pads, though I feel light initial bite is slightly less.

Pros: better heat tolerance, good modulation
Cons: light initial bite
Vehicle: Acura Integra
Part number: 1521

I use EBC blue stuff on my Mach 1 for national competition in F Street. Coefficient of friction of .52. modulate well, try them on the street all the time, and take a pretty good beating.

Pros: modulate well, good beating tolerance

POWER STOP Brake pads

Can vouch for the Bluestuffs for track days. Bought a set of Power Stop Z26 and loved them for daily driving but burned through them after 1.5 days at the track... had to replace the rotors too after that.

Pros: good for daily driving
Cons: burned through quickly

ATE Brake pads

Sounds like way too much for a basic A200. For a dealership I guess it's normal but you can get equal quality ATE brakes for much less than the original Mercedes parts.

Pros: equal quality, much less
Cons: way too much
Vehicle: Mercedes

Brembo Brake pads

Brembos are street pads, they are designed to be low noise and low dust. They’re not for any sort of aggressive driving.

Pros: low noise, low dust
Cons: not for aggressive driving

My brakes are overheating when I break the car from around 190kph (118mph) to around 30kph (19mph), I smell the brakes burning and see a lot of brake dust on the wheel. Even the brakes feel a bit spongy for a while after, but it firms back up.

Cons: overheating, spongy feel
