Did the same as above. Put GLI brakes on my GLS 1.8t. More than enough stopping power. Cheapest way to get good braking.

With those rotors, Hawk HPS+ pads, ATE Typ200 fluid, and TyrolSport caliper stiffening bushings, the thing stops very well for DD use. Still gonna fade hard after a relatively short while though.
Last time I did brakes on my Tiguan I did Centric high-carbon, coated rotors and Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads that I got off of Rockauto. They have 20k miles on them now and I have zero complaints. They just do what they are supposed to, and have almost zero dust. Perfect in my book.
Like others, I too run Zimmerman blank Z coats on both vehicles, EBC Red pads on the Beetle & Hawk 5.0 on the Tig.
Im using Zimmerman coated blanks with PowerStop ceramic pads. I've had them for about 12k miles front and rear without issues
Brakes i try and stick with Brembo, they seem to be the best from all the ones I've tried on the race bikes, they do enough compounds that you can really fine tune what type of riding you're doing as well.
Brakes - EBC. Tried others either didn't like the feel or they didn't last long, or made a mess of the wheels (I do a lot of miles daily) so stick with those now.
I use Hawk HP5 pads and love them. Feels like stock.
I only daily as well but I did a slight upgrade due to some spirited runs each year. I did Hawk ceramics and DBA T2 rotors. Theyre enjoyably different but likely overkill.
I won't even use duralast brakes on my daily driver, let alone a 3400 pound 200 mph missile..
