Just replaced the original alternator on mine last weekend. Battery light came on while running errands, managed to get it home without issue. The next day battery was completely drained. Charged it up, as soon as I reconnected the battery terminals I had a 10 amp draw (car was off) and the alternator started smoking. Put a reman Denso in and all is well a week later.

RockAuto does offer Motorcraft alternators and back in 2021, I purchased one for my 2016 5.0 Lariat.

When it comes to an Alt i would spend the extra dough for an OEM model like Motorcraft. Nothing wrong with Rock Auto. I always buy there.

Reman Denso from Advance thru WorldPak 210-1054. Same day, maybe 30 minute install. Never looked back and better than a used one with unknown history IMO!

just get a denso reman.

If you can go Denso, just go with that regardless of reman or new. The ACDelco will probably be fine, too.

On rock auto I see new alternators from ac delco. Not sure about any of those brands.

Actually, yes. I did. They did take it back though, after a couple of phone calls.\n\n+1 for Valeo. -10 for Reman.\n\nIf your alternator goes, absolutely get a new one, original spec.

I ended up getting a new one from BMW after two remans failed with once catastrophically failing and catching fire almost burning up my car.
