sometimes I think it gets itself into a feedback loop. It's like the sensor detects the wiper itself as rain and speeds up, which will lead the sensor to detect the wiper again and speeds up further. Now thinking about it; I don't think I have had this issue recently and I did change the wiper blades in the spring, so maybe that helped.
While the blades weren’t great, they were skipping across the windshield, especially in lighter rain. The tension was WAY off and after the tech adjusted it, I’ve been pretty solid the last 8 months. It works with the washer fluid or a car wash just fine.
I’ve had the wipers replaced twice in six months and it’s downright dangerous during rainy drives.
Replaced the blades and nothing changed. Got through one winter of ridiculous streaking and brought the issue up again with the dealer. They replaced both wipers fully under warranty and in rain the streaking is gone.
This is the single biggest issue I’ve had with them. It makes driving at night in the rain a hazard. It has always smeared right across the driver’s line of sight.
The wipers barely clean and leave a smear. I changed blades and it's the same problem.
Dealer then replaced them and that worked, then started streaking again. It's just a hassle always returning them or going to the dealer.
I haven’t had issues with mine. When I do use them, no streaking.
Wipers on a brand new V90 CC 2024 were bad from the dealership.
Exactly 12 months on my 19 S60 blades. So far still good.
