as far as stock brakes go, they’re pretty damn good

In the last year I bought a 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness and people flash their high beams at me all the time. I’m sure they are always quite shocked when I flash them back and they realize it’s just my normal headlights.
I had to do a hard stop last week in my all stock 23 wrx and was surprised how fast it stopped.
My Subaru Outback actually came equipped with laser beams - I know this because I commonly get people flashing at me to turn off my brights (and for shits and giggles I flash back)
Yeah? I’ve been using Subaru oem oil in my 260kmile 2015 forester. It only burns a little.
I drove 200km to go camping, oil was ok when I left, drove 200km back and made it home fine. Then 2 days later when I tried to drive it again for the first time my radiator was pouring steam after 5km and it turns out she had leaked all the oil on the drive over the weekend which made it overhead and blew the radiator. The hot radiator expanded and cracked the plastic tank where they joined, once the engine cooled overnight that crack showed up and leaked ALL the coolant out and I had no idea. Had to replace the radiator but she's ok again now.
'21 WRX. AC condenser went out, the infomaintmwnt unit would glitch / shut itself off / become unresponsive, but worst of all was the rod bearing saluting to the world and sending itself into the rest of the engine.
I love my 2008 H6 LL Bean, but I've had to get the engine rebuilt (yep the head gaskets CAN go, even on the H6).
Do not listen to them. I have a 2015 forester non turbo I used 5w30 and had all kinds of problems id get codes for over advanced timing on one bank and under advanced on the other, I was getting power loss going uphill, weird chattering noise.
These newer ones have tierods the thickness of my pinky finger . Yeah they keep your car driveing where you pointed it . They bend like butter . Everything underneath is go cart quality.
