Head gaskets. You're on the cusp of a very expensive and very necessary repair if it has not been done already. I "got a steal" on a 2001 Legacy wagon years ago. 130,000 miles. The head gaskets went at 140,000 and I was not in a financial position to have the car fixed. Absolutely loved the car.

Subarus are easy to work on for all the basics you’ll be doing, my only gripe on mine (08 Impreza) is the oil filter is in between the headers but I can live with that.
I've owned 5 subies including 2 WRX's...I always used OEM pads. They seem to be the best bang for the buck. I've tried spending more a couple times and it just wasn't worth the cost.
The 2nd gen BRZ definitely had the best headlights out of any car I've owned or driven.
I had the eyesight go off the other day and that car stopped hard as a mutha fucker. Wasn’t necessary but I know that shit works legit.
I just changed mine wasnt too bad buy the fuel pump tool off amazon helps alot to unscrew the top. My car is a 2018 crosstrek has 206,000 miles highway. So it will last with good gas. I changed mine cause noticed alittle hesitation at high way speeds when i let off and then put back on gas pedal kinda chugged alittle.
The WRX has brakes that are worse than all of them. It takes an amount of pedal pressure that had me check if the power brakes were working. The brakes on the WRX are ass.
On my 22 the brakes were not adequate.
The brakes on this car are pretty ass.
285,000 miles doesn’t feel great on stock struts but they’re gone now
