Shinko Tires

I've run Shinko on scooters and motorcycles and liked 'em fine. Presently have Shinko 586 rear and 567 front on a Piaggio BV250.

Pros: liked them fine

I avoided the 805 big blocks because of typically rough and noisy street use. Figured they’d be great offroad. Tried some 705s and they were great street tires but really loose and washy offroad. I’m on the 700s now and I’m really liking them. Closest thing to a 50/50 tire I’ve ever had.

Pros: great street tires
Cons: loose and washy offroad

I put on Shinko Ravens and they are more confidence inspiring than the Michelin Pilot 3s I was using.

Might I suggest some Shinko’s. I got 16k out of the back tire I got for my Goldwing, 12k+ of those were overloaded doing 80-90 across the country and through the Rockies.

Pros: high mileage, impressed
Cons: overloaded
Mileage: 16000 km

Get the shinko 777, they’re great. Stickiest compound tire I run and I have no issues in the rain. Great for wheelies too

Pros: stickiest compound, great wheelies
Cons: none

- Have been running Shinko 777 tires on my FLHRSI which I'm very happy with, but am going with the longer lasting Shinko 999 tires next.

Pros: very happy with
Cons: going with longer lasting

Shinko SR777 HD (reinforced) tires on my '04 FLHRSI as best bang for the buck given how ex$pen$ive the premium tires are these days. It helps to check the psi more often for longevity though.

Pros: best bang for buck
Cons: check psi more often

I run shinko 777 in the rear. It's cheap and I like them. The compound is a bit hard so you'll lose cold weather performance. But I ride in 45 degrees and above and haven't had issues with them.

Pros: cheap, user likes them
Cons: lose cold performance

I have shinko 805/804s, they are pretty identical to the 606s, and I absolutely love them. If you balance them well they ride good at 75mph, and handle dirt fantastic.

Pros: handle dirt fantastic

Shinko Tires

As a person who sells motorcycle parts for a living and currently has Shinkos on his bike for cost effective reasons. I suggest to NEVER get Shikos.

Pros: cost effective
Cons: never get Shikos
