Reviews of R1 Concepts parts For Business

I got the the black R1 Concepts slotted and drilled ones for mine, thinking the same thing about the cosmetics. But the black wore off after a few stops. Still good breaks tho.

I just switched to R1 concepts Geomet pads, and drilled and slotted rotors. They're just as good as OEM from what I can tell.

I have r1 concepts on right now. They haven't treated me bad at all.

R1 concepts were an upgrade on my 2nd gen and got me through 4 years of abuse because the OEM ones would brake fade terribly. On my Camry they only lasted a year.

I put a set of r1 concepts pads and rotors on my wrx that I daily got them off Amazon for like $250 and came in like 2 days had them on for around 7500 miles and haven't had any issues.

I just bought a set of all 4 cross drilled slotted rotors with the black anti rust coating all around with a set of ceramic brake pads front and back and hardware. Brand name R1 concepts.

I just put a set of R1 Concepts drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads. Huge improvement over OEM.

Pros: they fit perfectly, offer great performance and are cool enough to work on immediately after driving. Con: they sent the brakes for the electric parking brake when I have the cable parking brake. They have been 0 help in providing the bracket to adapt it to the cable break.

Rockauto carries Dynamic Friction kits. People will say "Rockauto is cheap shit" and then recommend R1 Concepts. But Dynamic Friction OWNS R1 Concepts and all of their pads and rotors are the same. Only difference is R1 does drilled and slotting while Dynamic are just blank rotors. So you really don't have to spend the extra money on R1 stuff. Also, you don't need slotted rotors for everyday driving. Heck, even some track guys still use blanks just fine. Only thing to worry about for track is pads, which I wouldn't recommend any of the R1 stuff for. Had one of their pads claiming both track and street but their pad material on one of their pads completely disintegrated on track.
