Stock OEM Mazda CX5 battery is weak AF. My 2019 battery died in Jan 2024 after coming back from Disney trip that lasted 7 days. Got one from Costco. Higher CCA for less than OEM from Mazda. Installed myself.

Im late to this but ill chime in anyways.
Mine is a 2008 AWD GT with every option. Mileage is 130k. And I run on Regular gas.
By todays standards its a gas guzzler, and even thirsty in 2008, but CRVs werent hugely better.
Ive done nothing to it. Still on original brake pads. And recently replaced the rear wheel bearings.
I dont know why im so lucky except that i do oil changes frequently.
One thing about driving older cars is they arent narcing your driving habits to Mazda. Good to know about insurance.
Since it is top line, it has the Bose system which is decent, but i replaced the head so i could get Bluetooth.
I sincerely believe this car has at least 5 years life left in it.
Just last week I had to change the original battery, because I was abroad for almost three months and the car had not been started even a single time. I left it outside and it's been constant -1/-5 Celsius here. So naturally the battery went.
Brake pads and OEM tyres lasted more than 100 000 Km.
My 2016 has NEVER cracked nor chipped...
Mazda’s OEM 5w30 is a little too thin for my blood considering the engine temps when driving hard, fine if you’re going to never redline the car
I just bought a 2024 CX30 and I wasn't even behind anyone when a rock hit my windshield. Didn't see where it hit so I thought whew!, safe! On my way back home, on that same road, I see a long crack form from the side of my windshield. I didn't even hear a rock hit. I checked it when I got out and you can't even see where a rock hit at all! I've had this car 2 months! my old car, Mazda3, had 2 tiny spots where rocks had hit & I was able to fill those so they wouldn't run but this one didn't give me a chance to repair.
My windshield on my 2023 Mazda3 hatchback turbo got cracked from road debris. I had an auto glass company come install a new one, my insurance paid for it. I specifically chose an auto glass company that would use an OEM Mazda windshield which they acquired from a local dealership. Immediately after the install I noticed some problems with the infotainment system. Every so often the screen will go completely black and essentially reset itself while I'm driving. It seemingly happens at random, I have not found any pattern. Although the first time I used the little wheel navigation button thingy after starting the car there is like a 50% change this issue happens. Other than that, it'll just happen randomly while driving. Another issue is the bluetooth connection to my phone now cuts out all the time. This happens even when the black screen / reset does not occur. Also, the wired android auto connection now cuts out all the time. All of these issues started immediately after the new windshield was installed and the sensors/cameras calibrated.
Had the cylinder head crack on my 2020 Mazda6 2.5T at 50k miles back in 2023 which caused coolant to leak and overheat my vehicle.
I’ve had a Mazda cx-5 2023 for a little over a year, I live in a rural area but drive a little over 30min on the interstate to get to work. I’ve had them repair a tiny crack once, then a giant crack across the bottom during winter when I had the heat on which appeared out of no where after I got off work, got it fixed March 1st. Just now I was driving to work and a baby rock hit it and now I have another crack. I’ve never had this happen with my other cars I’ve had, first time having a Mazda and I have seen so many that have a problem with the thin windshield.
