I believe Mahle is the actual OEM manufacturer. After two run-ins with the Rein cover, I'd be willing to give it a try. Mahle tends to have higher quality parts.

For filters I use Mahle, if I remember correct that is also the OEM supplier, but costs half what a BMW branded one costs.

Better cooling, and made in South Africa.

Mahle lao1595 are around £20 a piece (you need 2) on ebay, they’re one of the best cabin filters out there and way better than the plain carbon filters from tesla

I'd rate it just under OEM. They're perfectly fine, just make sure you follow the oil priming procedure.

Mahle is probably the OEM manufacturer for VW/Audi for this part and possibly others. They’re not selling it through the dealer so they grind off the logo instead of making separate molds.

I used Mahle for 5 years without any issues. The Mahle I use was made in Germany (has Germany stamped on its propeller), I believe newer one made in Italy. Idk if the reliability stays the same

Hatte auch schon ein Mahle Thermostat das kurz nach eimbau defekt war. Dannach ein Originales von BMW rein und seit dem wi3der keine Probleme.

Cap was really stuck when taking it off initially. Also required Some force to get back on. When I first just installed new filter I got yellow oil light, still not great. Also noticed oil coming from gap between ofh and cap. And a drip from the top socket end. So end conclusion, mahle oil filters suck
