Hella Fog light bulb

After finding the 6500K bulb color i wanted on eBay for only 9.99$ per set, i immediately ordered two sets. I also found some German HELLA yellow/gold H3 fog light bulbs, for only 17.95$. Got them all on the 11th and couldn't wait for night to fall... finally, the drivers shots -- i'd say just the 6500K is about 25% better at lighting up the road And visibility; with the H7 & HELLAs i'd say the combo is 33% better than the OEMs, plus the yellow really helps even more... i think i remember someone being warry of the 6000-6500K lights being 'Too Blue' -- i can say, though it is my opinion -- that these are really great replacement for the 'standard OEM color' halogen bulbs.

Pros: better lighting and visibility
Cons: a little too blue

The Hella e-codes are awesome; the beam pattern is much better than stock. Get a set of Philips VisionPlus bulbs to go with the e-codes and with proper alignment, your setup will rival that of OEM HIDs.

Pros: beam pattern much better

Hella Headlights

from my experience....DEPO is cheaper and much crappier than Hella (OEM). The beam pattern is horrendous compared to Hella

Pros: better beam pattern
Cons: expensive than Depo

Stock head lamp with Sylvania silver star Hella e-codes + Vision plus bulbs. You should see a lot better with the e-codes. When property aimed. the flares will illuminate the right part of the road very nicely and at the same time they should give you better down the road vision.

Pros: better down the road vision

Hella's are good. Seen a lot of complaints about Depo's being bad. the quality and beam pattern on my Hella E-codes is remarkable. WAY bettern than NA stock. Seen lots of posts by people who were trying to save a buck and then wished they'd waited and spent the $$ to get Hella's.

Pros: remarkable beam pattern, good quality
Cons: complaints about Depo

Hella Ballast

It's pretty easy, you can keep your stock housing and just replace the bulbs and mount the ballast (Hella).

Pros: pretty easy install

basically, we installed Smoked dual rounds on Dubbstarr21's getta... and well, after getting over the original fitment problems, ran into some major wiring issues(no harnesses/connectors/directions/diagrams provided with lights).. the stock jetta/golf headlight connector had three \"pins\". Ground, low beam, and high beam. The Hella has ground, low, high, and city light. And it seems that the pins on the right/left Hella lights do not match each other. After lots of guessing/testing we came up to this point: thats the low beam position... the high beams are on at maybe 25-30% power, low beams seem to be at 100%.... this is high beam: the highs are on at what seems to be 100%; and the lows at maybe 5%.

Pros: high beams at 100%
Cons: major wiring issues, fitment problems
