I have been running EBC yellow's on pretty much ALL my cars for the last 7-8 years. They always make a noticeable difference. On a GTI PP it seems like way more than that, the initial bite is just unbelievable (and I've bedded them in, it's not the initial bedding compound they put on them). I feel like I've gone up to a 6pot caliper! Guess the OEM pads SUCK and the OEM PP brakes have way better potential than I thought. With just a pad upgrade I feel like the brakes are totally up to the extra 50-60% HP I have over stock

Pros: noticeable difference, unbelievable bite
Cons: OEM pads suck
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I replaced mine a few years ago with new rotors from Zimmerman since it was the third change and I have been very happy with them. The stopping distance seems to be a bit better and more responsive. Also, they produce much less dust than the OEM VW pads and I believe have Kevlar mixed in the compound.

Pros: better stopping distance, responsive
Cons: rotors needed replacement
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Sorry it's a little late, but I've been using EBC yellows on my MK6 for double duty and I have no complaints other than the dust. They certainly make no noise.

Pros: make no noise
Cons: dusty

I put EBC Red stuff on my GTI (non-PP). I thought the stock pads were too aggressive when driving around town. The reds are less touchy when lightly applied and stop quite well. Very little brake dust. I'm very happy with them.

Pros: less brake dust, stop well
Cons: less touchy when applied
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I've been running slotted and cross-drilled rotors on my A4 for 5 years. I've never had one crack, but I don't autocross. For my latest set I looked for drilled, but not slotted, rotors because my last set buffeted at high-speed braking, which feels shaky and unstable, and I read that was because of the slots.

Pros: never had one crack
Cons: buffeted at high-speed braking
Vehicle: Audi A4

Run EBC red and be happy. Much better than Hawk HPS (or even HP+ for certain use), and not comparable to the Akebonos because those (Akebono) are really low dust pads with no bite for a heavy and sporty car like the TT.

Pros: much better than Hawk HPS
Cons: no bite for heavy car
Vehicle: Audi TT
