Bosch Icons are all I'll run on my truck.
I only use Bosch blades on my cars here in northern IL. While the Icons are good I personally prefer the better contact of the traditional Bosch blades vs the beam blade. Some people think the traditional frame blades don’t look as nice but I find them to last longer.
The high end Bosh Icon wipers are pretty good. Ran them last winter and they held up well.
On the topic of rear wipers has anyone else had issues with the OE blade? I had mine replaced under warranty because there was a big section not clearing water at 2k miles. The VW replacement blade wasn’t much better now it’s been a year and I just replaced it with a Bosch A383H which is a direct fit replacement. I’ll have to wait for another good rain to test it.
While they're not the cheapest brand out there, they last forever. My last pair lasted almost 5 years before the rubber started separating from the blades.
Just bought Icons last week. The shimmy they do on the driver side is difficult to put up with.
I'm running Bosch Icons, which fit my two previous cars very well, but on the Niro (2018 PHEV), they are lacking. They stutter and streak.
I spoke with Bosch customer service, and I guess it’s because Amazon is using a grey market supplier. The versions we got sent aren’t even for the North American market.
I tried Trico and wasn't super happy with them. I didn't feel they fit as well as the OE wipers. They were a bit too loose and made noise, etc. I've been very happy with Bosch AeroTwin. Virtually identical to the OE wipers and the fit was perfect.
Bosch Icon works not as good on my Sonata for some reason. The driver side squeal right away if it's only raining lightly, and the wipers go when I'm waiting for the green light. When the car is moving it's better. If I do a few squirts of washer it will go smoothly for a few minutes then back to squealing.
