WAGNER Brake discs
Lue_Dawg
  • Braking:
  • Vibration:
Rating 5.0

I did the 13WE upgrade (slightly smaller) because I did not want to mess with needing to use spacers or cutting up the OEM double 3 spoke wheels. Braking performance is significantly better, no more vibrations going down long hills. No problems with pedal feel either.

Pros: significantly better braking

Kumho Tires
GooseGord
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 4.0

I have a set of Kumho A/T tires on my beater 4runner and tbh they’re not snow tires and they’ve still been fantastic in the snow. Don’t have the best ride quality, but I’ve thoroughly liked them for the last 35k miles.

Pros: fantastic in the snow
Cons: not best ride quality
Mileage: 56327 km

Cooper Tires
duckguyboston
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
Rating 5.0

I got theCooper AT3’s for my 2012 4runner and loved them, drove more than 50k (and counting). They give a deep tread and were a game changer (vs Dunlops) especially in any rain or snow. All it took was one sleet/snow to feel the difference. I’ve also driven cross country four times with the Coopers and never noticed any issues with noise or mpg.

Pros: deep tread, game changer
Cons: no issues with noise
Mileage: 50000 km

KENDA Tires
Substantial_Let_2225
  • Grip:
  • Noise:
  • Ride comfort:
Rating 5.0

Currently running Kenda Klevar RTs and I think they are my favorite to date, super quiet on road, just did elko to Austin via the BDR, no issues in mud, they were so comfortable on the trail today that I never stopped to air down, great in the rain, got mixed up in the crazy rain in Utah Sunday and no issues. I’m also partial to the kendas because they offer 35x10.5s

Pros: favorite to date, super quiet, no issues in mud, comfortable on trail, great in rain

Bilstein Shock absorbers
daversa
  • Body bounce:
  • Bottoming:
Rating 4.0

My Truck feels almost as cushy as my dad's 22 TRD Pro. I can hit speed bumps at easily 10mph faster without discomfort, it rides great on forest service roads and has less body roll than stock.

Pros: cushy, rides great
Cons: none

Zeetex Tires

when you have no experience with quality, everything new and fresh will appeal...

it's the same with new tires - why so many people get zeetex or arisun since they can get "new" set of 4 for the price of a single premium tire. But they will also never know the difference in quality and keep telling left and right that the tire is great... (in comparison to no tire at all).

Cons: difference in quality

OEM Toyota Windshield seal
Middle-Falcon-9481
  • Wind noise:
  • Water tightness:
Rating 2.0

My 4runner was built in Japan and I most likely have a bad windshield seal that makes a horrible glass on metal noise as it gets colder.

Cons: horrible glass on metal noise
Vehicle: Toyota 4runner
