I had a similar problem with my 08 mustang GT. The alternator burnt through the cord going from it to the battery. Bought a remanufactured alternator and replaced it. Still didn't work. Traded it in for another remanufactured. Still didn't work. Finally returned that one and bought a brand new one. Works fine 6 years later and no problems.
Ford Mustang parts reviews
Amsoil 5W30 SS, I run E85 so I wanted something I could trust to handle fuel dilution
I use Valvoline Extended Protection, it's really good stuff
Mobil 1. I've used it in all of my cars. Two of my mustangs lasted until 240k before needing a rebuild.
I run 27-29 cold on my 305 and 325 Michelins.
For spark plugs I always used NGK because that's what Motorcraft actually uses if I remember correctly. Autolites are complete garbage and always fouled out the few times I used them.
I just put a can in my old mustang engine and it’s never felt so tight and smooth. Definitely good for older engines!
Michelin Xi3 on my Mustang. I got stuck once in my alleyway because of a really bad ice storm, but otherwise no problems. They are a bit floaty (as winter tires tend to be), but otherwise good dry performance too.
Forget the RS-RR's if you don't want your ears ringing for days after even a short road trip. I've been in a '17 mustang (gt) fitted with them; and I've never heard so much road noise on the street.
My Mustang came with those and I do not recommend driving on them at below +5c degrees. I drove at 1-2 degrees and the car felt very loose and slidy when turning, even at lower speeds.
