Wiper blades PIAA or rainx
I live in New England and use Rain-X Weatherbeater blades(16",13",13"). This current set has been on for over a year and still going strong.
I bought some rain-x latitude blades and they seem decent.
I have those blades (rain-x silicone endura) and that car. I took really thick nail clippers to the part that the guy dremeled. Basically wire cutters. Simple job. The wipers clip right in mounting perfectly and I’ve used them repeatedly since. No issues at all.
I just put on PIAA Si-Tech silicon blades. So far, so good. But it’s only been about a month with one day of rain.
RainX blades have always been my go-to
Started using PIAA super silicone blades about a decade ago. I’m in FL and each set will last about 3-5 years down here with the cars all outside in the sun year round. Will never use anything that isn’t a silicone blade again.
I use Rain-X Latitude wipers on my 2010 and here in Pennsylvania and all of our varied weather I get about 8 months out of them, more than I've ever gotten out of any other wiper. They still work after that time but they start to leave streaks and just don't work as well.
A lot of people saying OEM. I think this is where I’d disagree going OEM for Lexus. The wipers that came with my 25 RX suck. I got the car in January and I already need new ones. The RainX silicon ones last way longer and are way better IMO.
The locking mechanism sucks and I had one fly off on the highway.
Don't get the RainX brand. $80 for smudgy messes. I've even replaced the windshield and applied aquapel. My windshield is clear and gorgeous as long as I don't use the wipers. Water beads and rolls off on its own most of the time but once I run the wipers I have a smudged mess ia can't see through for the rest of the trip.
